ALEXANDER JOHNSTON: There, they were raised in absolute luxury in the all the beauty of Hawaii and in loving homes of Kailua. As they grew up, Vladimir grew into loving music, gymnastics, sports, and enjoying the beach. Alexander on the other hand grew to love creating things with his hands with his grandfather and father. With Alexander’s grandfather, he loved building airplane kits, with his father he enjoyed doing construction, fishing, night diving, basketball and tennis, and with his mother he enjoyed the arts of drawing and painting. Since he was 5 years old, he had a competitive passion for sports such as basketball, baseball, flag football, and soccer. One sport in particular he enjoyed was playing tennis on teams and in singles with his grandmother right by his side being his coach and biggest supporter all the way into his early college years.
While growing up in Hawaii, Alexander had a particular passion for the ocean. While others may have enjoyed snorkeling, swimming, and surfing, Alexander’s true joy from the ocean was night diving for fish with his father. It is a passion he still enjoys today and always loved it when his father would go out fishing and bring back delicious tuna for him to eat in the styles of sashimi and his favorite of all time, ahi poké! When it was time for Alexander to leave Hawaii for college, he was proud to have graduated from the school that his grandmother had started from its infancy before it came to be a high school, Le Jardin Academy. He was accepted to Marymount College in Palos Verdes, California, and a year later transferred to Loyola Marymount College near Marina Del Rey, California.
Alexander truly enjoyed his years at LMU creating great friendships along the way and some enduring years later and still going strong. With his greatest friends, Shane, Eric, his brother Vladimir, Trenton, and more, he has learned much about loyalty, sacrifice, being considerate, and mindfulness.
He has learned much from his family and friends and even more so from the love of his life, Zitlalic Ley. A true love that he discovered while dancing in the salsa/bachata scene from which he gained more knowledge and passion from any book he could ever gain from. A woman of his dreams that has given him the greatest care such always cooking great meals, empowering Alexander to push the boundaries in all aspects of his life especially in his work and personal growth. Zitalic Ley is truly a woman that Alexander could not live without and loves the most in this world.
